Abstract:
This is the Montana Incorporated Cities and Towns geodatabase that was on the Montana State Library web site at the end of 2015.

There are 129 incorporated cities and town within the state. The boundary files were created based on the best available source data received from the Montana Department of Transportation's Fuel Tax Layer and County Government's GIS Programs. Counties participating are the following: Cascade, Flathead, Gallatin, Lake, Lewis and Clark, Missoula, and Yellowstone; Cities participating: City of Red Lodge. The Fuel Tax layer was adjusted to the most current version of the Montana GCDB and Cadastral Parcels.

The data were adjusted to the most current version of the Montana CadNSDI Public Land Survey data, cadastral land ownership parcels, and National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) Imagery.
